I'm Jody Blue, a mortgage broker and Certified Reverse Mortgage Specialist rooted in the Oceanside community of Vancouver Island. I've spent over three decades helping families navigate some of the most important financial decisions of their lives. Not with sales tactics, but with honesty, patience, and genuine care.

I've been in the mortgage industry for over 30 years, and I've loved every bit of it — not because of the transactions, but because of the people. I've sat across the table from first-time buyers who were terrified, retirees who finally felt like they could breathe, and families navigating some of the most complex financial seasons of their lives.
I became a Certified Reverse Mortgage Specialist because I kept seeing a gap. Homeowners in their 60s and 70s had significant equity, were feeling real financial pressure, and had no one to walk them through their options without an agenda. That became my focus.
What drives me isn't the deal — it's the moment someone says, "I finally understand my options." That's when I know I've done my job. I take the time to make sure every client — and their family — feels completely informed and completely confident before making any decision.
I live in the Oceanside community, surrounded by family and the landscape I love. You'll find me on the golf course or walking the beaches of Tofino when I'm not talking mortgages. That life — rooted, warm, connected — is what I want for every client I work with.

I've called Vancouver Island home for most of my life, and it's shaped everything about how I work and who I am. The pace here is different — slower, more connected, more human. That's the energy I bring to every client relationship.
When I'm not talking mortgages, you'll find me on the golf course, walking the beaches of Tofino, or spending time with family. This community — Parksville, Qualicum, the whole Oceanside region — isn't just where I work. It's where I live, and I care deeply about the people in it.
That rootedness matters when you're helping someone make one of the biggest financial decisions of their life. I'm not a voice on the phone from a call centre. I'm your neighbour.
